One of my favorite corners of my friend and fellow landscape designer, Rebecca Sweet's Garden...
A landscape designer's, Aesthetic Pruner's, Artist's, Female Entrepreneur's, oh, yes and dancer's, wanderings and offerings on gardens and things green, sustainable, organic, healing, beautiful and more...
Judy adopted many green, organic, sustainable principles in her life, long before it was the fashion. Her lifelong pursuit of a holistically healthy life, and love of nature & beauty in many forms led her to the field of landscape design & horticulture.
Contributing to the mix are a background in art & design including her unique handmade paper mulit-media collages, theatre sets, graphics, web, art direction, photography, sculpture, painting, dance & music. She has worked in creative and project management roles in high tech.
A graduate of Foothill College Environmental Horticulture & Landscape Design & Merritt College Aesthetic Pruning Program (a one of a kind curriculum in the country) where she received the highest honor.
This blog is a continuing exploration towards her intention to build a thriving, successful business creating sustainable beauty.
It was officially launched 'once in a Blue Moon' (really!) - on New Year's Eve, 12:00 AM, January 1, 2010 - a nice beginning.
Volunteer work includes the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show and Aesthetic Pruning in public gardens in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She is an active member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD)
